Jun (Ryan) Park is a filmmaker, educator, and entrepreneur whose work bridges independent cinema, documentary storytelling, and commercial media production. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Independent Film and Digital Imaging at Governors State University.
Ryan earned his BFA in Film and Television from New York University, graduating cum laude and receiving the Founder’s Day Award, and holds an MFA from the University of Oxford.
Over his career, he has collaborated on diverse film and media projects across Los Angeles, New York, London, Seoul, and Chicago. As founder of Kiwi Productions, Ryan has directed and produced 50+ commercials, documentaries, and web series. His debut film premiered at the Newport Beach International Film Festival, and his recent documentary has screened at festivals including the Rhode Island International Film Festival and Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. He also serves as a judge for the Chicago Southland International Film Festival, supporting its mission of celebrating independent voices in cinema.
Based in Chicago, Ryan spends his time off the set playing soccer, golf, tennis, and fencing—or making & playing music just for the joy of it.
